I’m bringing you another tutorial today.
I thought that as Christmas is growing ever nearer I would show you all how to make a quick & easy acetate window card. Smiles.
Ok, what you will need to create this.
A Star Is Born (All Dressed Up Stamps.)
Timeless Rectangle Spellbinders Die Set.
Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.
White Opaque Copic Paint.
Encrusted Jewels Frantage Set.
2 Pieces Thick white swirl embossed card. (Hunky Dory.)
Blue Ribbon (Wide so that you can fold in the middle for added depth.)
Double Sided Tape.
3D Glue. (Clear.)
Craft Knife & Ruler.
Okay? All set? Great! Then let’s get started! Smiles.
Cut one piece of your cardstock to measure 8” x 8”.
Cut your other piece to measure 8” x 11”.
Set your 8” x 8” square aside for now.
Take your 8” x 11” piece of card and score 3” in from one short edge. Fold and burnish with your embossing too.
This piece now measures 8” x 8” square too.
Mark out a 6” x 6” box (you will have a 1” border all around your card.
Now cut it out with your craft knife.
Place double sided tape around the edges of your aperture (on the inside of the card. Not the front.)
Now trim your acetate to measure 7 3/4” x 7 3/4” square.
Stick to the inside over your double sided tape.
Stick your 8” x 8” card piece to the 3” folded overlap to form your card.
Take your left over strip of acetate and score then fold it in half.
Trim it to an 8” width.
Now stick this into your card (using double sided tape.)
Line the fold up with the fold of your card.
Now you are ready to stick in your image and decorate your card.
(You need to stick your image onto the top facing edge of the acetate.)
So that when it’s all done it will look like this from the side.
Voila! Now you’re all done! Smiles.
To bring this gorgeous All Dressed Up beauty to life, I used my Copics in these shades;
I also used my Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink for the background, along with my Encrusted Jewels Frantage Kit, and my White Opaque Copic paint.
Lovely isn’t it? Are you feeling all Christmassy yet? I know that I am! Smiles.
As a finishing touch I took some of my old snowflake embellishments and sprayed them with my Diamond Pearls glitter spray.
My ribbon is from my stash.
I used an extra wide ribbon so that I could fold it in half and add some real depth to the front of the card.
I loved bringing this cute little image to life so very much!!! ;0)
I created this particular card because ADU are having a fun Christmas challenge on their Facebook Page at the moment.
