Good Luck!

Happy Hump Day Everyone!!!

Yes it’s the middle of the working week already and so I thought I would celebrate by

doing a little tutorial for you all! Smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

I thought I would show you how to create this lovely little window card – Using just your Big Stitched Rectangles Dies & Blossom Rubber Stamp from CC Designs.

First of all you need to stamp and colour in your image.

Then you want to take an A4 piece of card.

(For mine I chose 320gsm Hammer Card.  I love the texture and sturdiness so much!)

STEP ONE.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

STEP TWO.

Once you have done the above, open your card out flat and run through your cutting and embossing machine as you normally would.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

This is what you should have so far.

Pop your small rectangle piece off to one side for now, you will need this later on.

STEP THREE.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

(Sorry that should say piece!)

STEP FOUR.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Put your two dies on your 2nd piece of card through your machine.

STEP FIVE.

Now take your coloured image and, using one of the smaller dies, cut out your image.

You should now be looking like this.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

STEP SIX.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

STEP SEVEN.

Next, stick your image to the smaller stitched rectangle.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

STEP EIGHT.

Now adhere your thicker frame around both your image & the stitched rectangle.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Now you should be looking like this.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Next, take your ribbon of choice.

Cut one piece at 5 inches long, and one piece at 4 inches long.

Cut at the bottom to get the “V’s”.

Now turn your card over, and stick the top one inch of ribbon to your card back.  One on each side like I have.

Then add your last (largest stitched rectangle) on top.

This will be where you write your sentiment/message etc.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Turn your card over and stick your pearls to the front.

This is your finished card! Smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Isn’t Blossom just the sweetest little thing?!

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

This is the inside of the card.

To bring Blossom to life I used my Copics in these shades:-

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Dreams Of Summer

Good evening everyone!

I hope you have all enjoyed your Tuesday so far.

My card today is another Old Make revisited. Smiles.

I have a thing for that at the moment.

For this one I chosen to work with Summer Dreams from Make It Crafty.

This is one which I made back in November 2012.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

And this is one I have made in April 2015.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

I think it’s so cool revisiting old images and seeing how very much my colouring has changed. Smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

I am especially pleased with the hat and her hair.

Oh and the definition to her skin.. Ah .. ok.. I’m pleased with all of it. Grins.

To bring her to life I used my Copics in the following shades:-

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

clothes.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Sand.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Hair.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Skin.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

This is the card front folded flat.

The starfish metal charms I got  from a shop on Etsy a while ago.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

The concertina flower, button and patterned paper is all from my Do Crafts Capsule Collection.

The pearls are from a massive reel that I got really cheap from Hobbycraft.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

I matted and layered everything with my kraft card.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

I also took an ordinary kraft card base and turned it into this easel.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

I am really pleased with how it all turned out. And I am certainly ready for summers days.

We had a couple of weeks where the sun shone, but now we are back to showers, wind and grey skies.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA
