Butterfly Pocket Free Pattern.

Good morning everyone, I hope that you have sunshine wherever you are

Three Butterfly Pockets

I must warn you that this is a sad post, so you need to choose whether or not to read on.

Today I want to talk about a non profit organisation, run by Lucy of @uponbutterflywings (I have done a previous post here where I designed a tiny baby hat.)

Lucy donates keepsakes and garments to hospitals and funeral directors, etc, for babies born sleeping (8-34 weeks.) This is something which is very close to my heart and I wanted to create something myself.

The first pattern I designed was the baby hat, and this one is a little pocket cocoon.  I have called it the Butterfly Pocket For Preemies, and you can find it on both Ravelry and (Just click on either of the links and you’ll be taken right to the pattern.)

Of course, the pattern is FREE and you are welcome to download it and use it as you wish.

But I would really love if you could create and donate to Lucy at Upon Butterfly Wings.  This type of item is on her list of what is most needed.  The pockets take less than two hours to do, and use around 50 grams of yarn.

I made three in one afternoon/evening, and I have half a ball of each yarn still left too.

There are lots of links for sizes and preferable colours, as well as other patterns on the Upon Butterfly Wings website.

You can also find Upon Butterfly Wings on Facebook too. They accept knitted and crocheted items, as well as sewn garments. If you would like to help, please visit the website or FB page for more information.

Happy Feet!!

Hello everyone and a very happy Saturday to you all!

Today I am bringing you a brand new pattern that is a personal favourite of mine.  :0)

Happy Feet Crochet Socks Front

The pattern is called Happy Feet Socks and is my latest crochet design.  I have designed these socks with a lovely deep cuff, so that you can either fold it over (as in the picture) or wear it high.

Happy Feet Crochet Socks Facing

I have created contrasting heels and toes as well as the hearts on these #happyfeetsocks, and I absolutely love them!  (My feet do too, so nice and warm and snug on these damp, cool Autumnal days.)Heart

I have bought a little bottle of “Sock Stop” so that I can wear these as slipper socks and they are just perfect!!  :0)

You can purchase the pattern for yourself on

If you want to turn them into slipper socks like I have, you can find Sock Stop on places like Amazon and Ebay, or in your local hobby / craft store.
