My Toyboy Is Turning 40!! Tee Hee!!

Hello everyone and a very happy Thursday to you all!

I cannot remember when I last brought you a blog with an actual card that I have made. And I cannot put into words how very wonderful it feels to have sat and created properly either.

40th Birthday Card 1

It is a testament to how much I love my husband, that I have sat and created my first card in months. If you scroll back you’ll find it was around April I think.  (It’s been a very long time.)

40th Birthday Card 3

On Monday, my hubby turns 40, and it is cause for great celebration in our house, as I am a whopping FOUR years older than him, and he never ever lets me forget it! Laughing.

I think that he has been secretly dreading this milestone, and so of course his Birthday card had to reflect that (with my usual humour thrown in of course.)

40th Birthday Card 2

And I just so happened to have the perfect image for it too.

I have used one of the Brian Getting Fit images, available from Make It Crafty. This one is called Brian Does Weights and to bring him to life I used my Polychromo Pencils in these shades:-

Skin – 280. 283. 180. 188. 189. 132. 102. 103. 101.

Hair – 182. 185. 184. 102.

Tee Shirt – 246. 275. 274. 273. 272. 271. 101.

Shorts – 155. 153. 154. 101.

Trainers – 246. 152. 199. 275. 274. 271.

40th Birthday Card 4

The blue card is Cor-dinations and is layered with Kraft card.

I finished with a white scallop edged card (from Joanna Sheen) and some blue & white striped Baker’s Twine.

40th Birthday Card 5

The “Made For You” bronze charm is from the depths of my crafty cupboard.

I really hope that you like what I created.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

And a very happy Friday to you all.

I’m not sure where the sun disappeared to again, but I wish could follow it. Smiles.

It is windy and COLD again today. Where is spring?

Today’s card is a boy’s CAS style Birthday card.

The sweet image is Polka Dot Pals Andy, and I have also used a face from the PDP Add On Faces set.

To bring him to life, I have used my Copics in these shades:-

GDT For Art By Miran!!

Hello everyone, it’s me again.

(My blog is busy this week. Smiles.)

Today I am very, very proud to be a Guest DT for February’s Anything Goes/Twist Monochrome challenge at Art By Miran.

I chose to play with Gentleman George from Art By Miran – Etsy.

To bring him to life I used my Copics in these shades:-

Dark Gold

Pale Gold

I decided that a real vintage feel would suit this awesome image perfectly. So I delved in to my February Craft Box, and set to work.

The “design paper” is actually a vintage envelope, which I cut and then inked with my Tim Holtz Wild Honey Distress Ink.  I used this ink to shade around my image too.

My fabulous brass cogs are real working watch parts, which I received in the most fabulous little tin in my Craft Box this month. They are all so awesome!

The image I framed using my By DIEZyne Stitched Rectangles Dies which I originally got from Dies To Die For.

I layered everything onto a cream card base. For this I used cream hammer card @ 300gsm thickness.

The Happy Birthday is hand written, and inked also with my TH Wild Honey Distress ink.

I added another tiny cog piece to the punched hole. The “tag” I cut from a scrap piece of Kraft card.

I hope that you can stop by the blog and join in with the Art By Miran team for their Anything Goes with a twist of Monochrome this month.

I had so much playing along with this one and I know that you will too!

Thank you so much for my GDT this month guys! I really loved it! Smiles.
