Oh Messy Elf!

Hello everyone and a very happy Wednesday to you all! Only two more sleep until Friday people!! Tee hee.

Today I got a chance to get very, very, very messy indeed. And oh my gosh I loved every single minute of it!

I tried ink splats!! Smiles..

And no I didn’t use Re-Inkers or Copic Refills .. I thought I would push my boundaries a little more, and try out my Spectrum Noir Glitter Pens!

I squeezed and I shook! I squeezed and I shook! Simples!

Oh my! If you could SEE the SPARKLE on this card in real life! I LOVE it!!

And, quite by accident, I decided to go with kitchen towel as my background. (It has made the most amazing “design paper” too!)

I had this sheet of paper towel on stand by in case I made the most incredible mess (which I did) and I got an ink splat on it in blue. I loved how it looked so much I proceeded to add more blue and then red glitter pen too. I folded it around a piece of card cut to size, and then glued it in place.

The fabulous image is called Elvette Sitting (from the awesome Santa’s Christmas Elves set) over at Make It Crafty!

To bring her to life I used my Copics in these shades:-

White Shading

White Shadow.

My sentiment I stamped using my new Lawn Fawn Winter Penguin Stamp -available from Dies To Die For, and my Memento Black Ink.  (The fancy swirl was a pre-cut free gift from Dies To Die For.)

The curved & frilly borders I created using my Spellbinders Curved Borders One Die Set.

Flat 2

The red card is from my Core-Dinations All In The Family card pack.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

And I hope that you can forgive me all of these early Christmas cards too! Grins.

Hugs & Happy Crafting Everyone!

A Gold Star!

Hello to my lovely readers.

I hope that your week has been kind so far. I have been battling an infection, and the doc has me on super strong – knock you off your feet antibiotics.

I need a full nights sleep and to feel better. I know  that I am being far too grouchy! Tee hee.

To make myself feel better, I hid away in my craft room and coloured this gorgeous lil’ fella in.

He is called Star Chester (from Little Miss Muffet Stamps) and to bring him to life I used my Copics in these shades:-

Inner Ears

Eyes & Shadow.

Gold Star

Purple. (I have tried a lot of purple combos, and so far this one is my favourite blend.)

Close Up

This is the card I created with him.

For added sparkle I used my Yellow Stickles, because well a girl’s gotta have some sparkle in her life right?

The frame around the image I cut with my Beaded Circles spellbinders die.

Everything is layered with my Purple Core-Dinations Card, and the base card I cut to measure 8” x 8” from my 16” Sq white pearlescent card stock.

I used up the last of my satin ribbon in these colours, but I do love how they contrast so nicely together!

My paper is digital and is called Frozen Winter from MNINED.

The Joy Of A Book!

Hello everyone!

I hope that your week is treating you well.

I thought for a while there that I wasn’t going to be able to blog at all.  My computer hard disk decided to fail last night, and so I have spent the entire day so far, trying to get the children’s netbook (which is so very slow it is only used for homework and nothing else) up and running with my live writer, my cloud storage, and my husband’s business stuff.

It’s overloaded to say the least!

But anyway, after HOURS of slowly editing and watermarking, I can bring you this blog post.  Smiles.

I just love this image so much, and she was perfect for the thank you card that I wanted to make!

The image is called Polka Dot Pals Lirienne and she is from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

To bring her to life I used my Copics in these shades:-

Bean Bag

My bow is hand tied, and the ribbon is from my crafty stash.

The Joy frame is a dienamics die from My Favourite Things Stamps, and I thought that the Joy sentiment at the bottom of the die was a perfect fit for my image.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Hugs & Happy Crafting Everyone!
