Let’s Celebrate!

Hello everyone and a very happy Tuesday to you all!

I am yay happy today, because my favourite artist opened her new Store on Etsy! Yes!

And she has been kind enough to offer a 30% discount too, available for followers in her Facebook group.

Of course, I had to go take a look, and I found three images there that I don’t own yet, somehow those three ended up dropping into my basket. I have idea how, it was the strangest thing! Thank  goodness for that discount code eh?! Tee hee.

Coloured Image

This awesome image is called Tori The Dragon Up and I purchased him from the brand new Conie Fong store on Etsy. (Yes I’m smiling being able to put that! Tee hee._)

To bring him to life I used my Copics and my clear Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen.

I absolutely adore my Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen. It is so SPARKLY and you can still (more or less) see my shading underneath it! Smiles.

My Celebrate sentiment is my own, computer generated one.  I thought it was fitting for celebrating the store opening, and also the card can be used for more than a  Birthday if necessary.

The frame I drew around him freehand in my Serif Craft Artist software.

The beautifully embossed star card I got from That Craft Place. I adore this card so much I bought an extra two packs, after using up my first one. Grins.

The twine is  actually  nylon string, which I picked up the last time I was at my (fairly) local hardware store.  I do that a lot, we can be in any kind of shop, it doesn’t matter what kind, and I will always still be on the look out for something which I can use in my card making. Smiles.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Hugs & Happy Crafting Everyone!

Just Hangin’

Good afternoon everyone!

I’m waving hello from a very cloudy Cornwall today.

Oh when oh when is summer going to arrive?!

Today is a very special day. Because there is an AWESOME new release happening over at That Craft Place – The most fabulous digi images from the all new Bubbles Range – which you can find in TCP’s Etsy Store.

And – even better – there is a fabulously generous 25% off Discount code for you to use from now through the weekend too!

Just click on the picture above to go straight to the Etsy Shop.

This is what I  created while playing with just one of those fabulous new images. Smiles.

His name is Footie Fan and to bring him to life I used my Copics in these shades:-

Skin Tones.

Shading on White Clothes.

This is the back of the door hanger.

The laser cut shapes are all available from That Craft Place, as is the actual MDF door hanger. Smiles.

Yes it started out life like this.

Great fun to play and create with!

I wanted the front to look like he is standing in front of a goal net, I do hope that’s what my son thinks when I give him this.

To create the effect I used my Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Acrylic Paint and believe it or not – Bubble Wrap!! I know right! Who would have thought it!

(This is the first time I have tried anything like this and it won’t be my last.)

For the back I used my Copic Airbrush system and created the pitch and the sky.

This is only the 3rd time I have used the system so I feel very proud of it!

I added quite a bit of grey into the mix because I was aiming for that soft light you get when day is just thinking of turning into night.

To finish I added the clock and the night stars, and sprayed (liberally) with my Irridescent Glitter Spray.

If you can’t find all that  you  need on the Bricks & Mortar shop website – then another fabulous place to look/join is the TCP shop group on Facebook.

Usually – you can find (or request) pretty much anything you want in there. And the people are awesome too! Smiles.
