Quick & Easy Notebook!

Hello, hello, hello!

I am very happy to be bringing you my inspirational post for Little Miss Muffet  Stamps today!

And a little tutorial too! Smiles.

How would you like to make this noteholder?

The quickest part is the notebook itself. You can make your own in around 15minutes tops.

The longest part (and also the fun part) is decorating it once your done!)

Here is  your quick and easy step by step.

STEP ONE:-

For this I recommend Thick Centura Pearlescent Card (or at least no less than a 300gsm for making this.)

Cut your A4 piece of card to measure 10 1/2” x 6. 1/2”.

STEP TWO:-

Now lay it lengthwise on your score board.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

You need to score lines at 4 1/2” – 5” &  5 1/2” like so:-

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

And score a VERY LIGHT line (for guidance later) at 6”.

STEP THREE:-

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Turn once clockwise so that it is now in portrait (as in standing tall with the short edges top & bottom in front of you.)

Score where your cut lines will be at 2” in from the right edge and again at 4” – Between your FIRST scoreline and  your THIRD scoreline.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Now cut where you scored.

STEP FOUR:-

Now fold your score lines and be sure to burnish them with your score tool to make them crisp.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

STEP FIVE:-

Next – add double sided sticky tape below & above where your cut out part is –  place your tape between the third (deeps score) and fourth (faint score) scores lines like shown:-

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

STEP SIX:-

Remove the tape backing and  fold your third score line to the faint fourth line and press down onto the tape firmly to stick in place.

When you open it back out it should now look like thi:-

Okay now we need to fill it! Smiles.

STEP ONE – INSIDE PAGES:-

First of all you need to decide how much paper you’re going to stick inside. Then you need to cut roughly a half inch to an inch smaller than your completed cover.

Then you set this aside, and take another 300gsm piece of card and cut it to measure 2” x 3”.

STEP TWO – INSIDE:-

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Score lengthways at 1/2”. 1” & 1 1/2”.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Add double sided tape between your scores.

STEP THREE – INSIDE:-

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Burnish the two outer score lines and fold as above.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Peel off your tape backing and stick to your pre cut sheets of paper.

STEP SEVEN – INSIDE:-

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Place double sided tape to the back of your paper pad. Stick it to the bottom of your inside cover.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

You are now ready to decorate! Smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

For mine I added some gorgeous flower ribbon I have in my crafty cupboard.

I also added this gorgeously sweet image from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

She is called Jnr Hatter Charlotte and I adore her!

To bring her to life I used my Copics in the following shades:-

Skin.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Hair.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Tulip.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Yellow.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Pink.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

My paper is an old one from my Tanya Whellan Floral Pavillion Paper Pack.  And my layer card is from my Roy G Biv Core’Dinations Card Pack.

The die is my Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Of course you can cover these any way you choose.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

These are two others which I created at the same time.
