Shabby Chic Hatter

Good afternoon everyone!
I hope that your Week is a good one so far!

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

I think – after my very first attempt at a  Shabby Chic card the other day – I have been bitten by the Shabby Chic/Vintage bug.

Especially after seeing these gorgeous new papers from Pion Designs. Grins.

Aren’t they just so very beautiful?!

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

They are called Paris Flea Market and I got mine from Dies to Die For.. (Enabler alert here.. they deliver world wide! Grins.)

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

My beautiful image is a stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and she is called Emily Rose Hatter.

To bring her to life I used my Copics in the following shades:-

Hat.

Dress and Grounding.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Ribbon, Bag & Shoes.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Hair.

Skin.

To mount my picture “into” the artwork on the paper behind, this is what I did.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

I position my image where I wanted it to sit, then I place pencil marks the side edge and bottom.

Then again at the top and side edge. Like so.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Then I took my craft knife and cut around the image within the marked area.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

And again at the top.

Then I mounted my image using wet glue so I had time to position it.

The cream doily, flowers …

… & pearls are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

My image is cut using my Stitched Rectangle Die set by DIEzyne Dies available from CC Designs.

To finish I edged everything, including my card base (made from 2 sheets of A4 Cream Hammer Card) with my Frayed Burlap Distress ink by Tim Holtz.

The challenge I am entering into with my Shabby Chic card are:-

1. Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blog – Anything Goes.

2. Craft Your Passion – Always Anything Goes.
